(includes Fish ‘n’ Chip Lunch during cruise)
First stop-off this morning is Barton Grange Garden Centre. With stunning indoor displays and superb all-weather plant area, you’ll find ideas, inspiration and lots of advice from friendly gardening experts. There’s a Farm Shop, Cook Shop and fabulous food, all surrounded by lovely Lancashire countryside.
We continue to Lancaster where we join Kingfisher Cruises for our Fish & Chip Lunch cruise along the Lune Aqueduct. This Grade I iconic aqueduct should be one of our ‘Seven Wonders of the Waterways’. It’s a masterpiece of civil engineering, 202 metres long, it carries Lancaster Canal 16 metres above the River Lune. The aqueduct consists of five 21-metre semi-circular arches, delivering picture-postcard views across the Lune Valley.
There will be a little free time in the city of Lancaster following our cruise.
