Excursions Included
We enjoy our excursion as we travel via Hastings to the attractive town of Battle, which gets its name from the Battle of Hastings. Following some free time here we continue our journey for our included visit to Pashley Manor Gardens ~ a quintessential English garden located on the Sussex and Kent border. Pashley offers a sumptuous blend of romantic landscaping imaginative plantings and fine old trees, fountains, springs and large ponds. June is fragrant with roses and lavender and in September the hot borders come into their own with dahlias, cannas and asters amongst the many late flowering herbaceous perennials.
We enjoy a scenic excursion as we travel through the South Downs to the prosperous and attractive town of Midhurst, as you wander through the narrow lanes of the town, flanked by ancient timber framed buildings, you will discover a myriad of independent shops, one-off boutiques, cafes, restaurants & pubs. We then continue to the historic and vibrant town of Guildford, set in the rolling hills of the Surrey countryside, with its traditional cobbled high street and riverside walks. We return to the hotel via Steyning, which claims to be one of the prettiest Sussex towns, with its fine high street, historic buildings and good shops. |
